Baghdad Island is located on the Tigris River, about 20 km on the northern side of Baghdad, specifically in Al-Fahama area.
The Island was established as a part of a beautifully green area surrounded by palm trees and large body of water. After the 2003 War it was occupied by the US Army and in 2008 it was reopened, after it witnessed years of neglect, which affected its visit rates.
In October of 2016, it was invested by Taj Al-Wessam Company and went under major reconstructions and renovations to become the largest and most entertaining water and amusement park in Iraq, providing an exciting fun destination to all families.
