Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and update the general ledger.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts.
  • Ensure all entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Manage and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
  • Ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of payables.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
  • Provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Assist in financial planning and strategy development.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
  • Streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Utilize accounting software and tools effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time position based in an office environment.
  • May require occasional overtime during peak financial reporting periods.
