Accountant

Job Overview:
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, and providing timely financial information to support the organization’s decision-making. This role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing both accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor general ledger entries.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, payments, and collections.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and submit tax filings, VAT returns, and other regulatory documents.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
  • Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • English Language proficiency is a must.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, typically office based.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods such as financial year-end.
