Job Overview:
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, and providing timely financial information to support the organization’s decision-making. This role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing both accounts payable and receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor general ledger entries.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, payments, and collections.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and submit tax filings, VAT returns, and other regulatory documents.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
- Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- English Language proficiency is a must.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically office based.
- Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods such as financial year-end.
