Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets on a regular basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with audits and provide support to auditors as needed.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

 

Duration of the Contract: This position is a temporary role for a duration of 6 months, serving as a maternity leave replacement for the incumbent. Upon the return of the incumbent, the temporary Accountant will transition out of the role.
