Accountant – (Junior Position)

ICONIC GROUP is looking for a junior accountant to join the team in Erbil. We are seeking someone with a degree in accounting or finance and at least one year of experience.

Required Qualifications:

1. Degree in accounting or finance.
2. One year of continues experience in accounting.
3. Kurdish (Fluent) , English (Intermediate), Arabic (Intermediate)
4. Any certifications or accreditations in accounting is a bonus.

Core Responsibilities:

• Financial Data Entry and Processing:
  • Recording and posting journal entries.
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Issuing invoices and managing payments.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, etc.).
  • Generating weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
  • Contributing to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Account Reconciliation:
  • Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records.
• Payroll Assistance:
  • Assisting with payroll processing.
  • Calculating and processing payroll taxes.
• Compliance:
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Assisting with audits.
• General Support:
  • Providing support to senior accountants and the finance team.
  • Maintaining organized financial documentation.
  • Using accounting software.
