STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Advanced degree in aquaculture and hatchery management and development, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications or qualifications related to aquaculture, aquatic ecosystems, and species.
Experiences:
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in aquaculture and hatchery management and development or related fields.
- Technical knowledge about various fish species (native fish), their life cycles, habitat requirements, and breeding processes.
- Understanding of aquatic ecosystem management, Iraqi marshlands ecosystem, and conservation practices.
- Experience with aquaculture systems design and operations, including water quality management, fish health management, and feeding practices.
- Ability to conduct research and analyse data on fish populations, growth rates, and environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in using aquaculture equipment and technology such as pumps, water quality meters, and feeders.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues that may impact the native fish species or the productivity of an aquaculture system.
- Knowledge of regulations and guidelines pertaining to aquaculture and the ability to ensure compliance with the same.
