Duration of the Contract: This position is a temporary role for a duration of 5 months, serving as a maternity leave replacement for the incumbent. Upon the return of the incumbent, the temporary Associate Public Relations Officer will transition out of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing PR events such as press conferences, media briefings, public outreach programs, and special promotional events.
  • Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Handle logistical arrangements, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and guest invitations.
  • Develop creative concepts and designs for PR materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, and external agencies to produce high-quality print and digital materials that effectively communicate KSC’s key messages and brand identity.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all PR materials and ensure compliance with KSC’s visual guidelines.
  • Assist in monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities and campaign performance.
  • Contribute to content creation initiatives by writing compelling stories, articles, and social media posts that highlight KSC’s achievements, projects, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots to capture visual content for PR campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Maintain PR databases, contact lists, and archives of PR materials.
  • Assist in budget tracking, expense reporting, and procurement related to PR activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the PR team as needed.​
  • Develop and maintain relationships while coordinating with various media outlets.
  • Establish and oversee relationships with donors.
  • Act as a representative of KSC and actively engage in events, activities, and similar initiatives.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar role in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities in Kurdish, English and Arabic.
  • Proficiency in research, analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in event planning and management.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
