Job Overview

Auditing & Accounting Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, accurate, structured and detail-oriented Auditing &Accounting candidate to monitor the procurement processes as well as the procurement contracts in an industrial power plant as well as all accounting works and activities. This position will monitor, audit and review all procurement activities starting from preparing purchase orders, setting criteria for bid evaluation, selecting vendors, purchasing transactions for local and foreign international contracts, examining monthly receipts, reviewing documents, and ensuring that the purchased products are worth their recorded price. Procurement representative will act as one of the project partner’s representatives on site.


Auditing and Accounting Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review and ensure that the products and supplies are of high quality and worth their price.
  2. Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
  3. Support the procurement team to make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Maintain copies of the purchase’s records, pricing, and other vital information.
  5. Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
  6. Support and advise in developing plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  7. Attend the negotiations held to achieve the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  8. Support procurement team to maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future developments.
  9. Collaborate with team members and procurement officers to complete duties as needed.
  10. Update transaction summary report on daily basis and prepare weekly and monthly reports on purchases including cost analyses for project partner.
  11. Analyze costs, offer strategies and solutions to help for better cost management on supplies and vendor services.
  12. Support with tracking orders, resolving issues concerning price disputes, and reviewing bids for vendor’s services.
  13. Monitor warehouse receipt reports for any file claims and monitor inventory.
  14. Cooperate and provide information to auditing and accounting team.
  15. Any additional similar tasks assigned by project partner.
  16. Perform and manage all accounting works and activities as per as direct manager requests.

Auditing and Accounting Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. At least five years’ experience in power plants projects with a good knowledge of spare part materials that will be purchased, and have a good experience related to these materials’ suppliers and original equipment’s manufacturers and vendors (OEM).
  2. Very good knowledge of power and energy projects, required consumables, materials, chemicals, tools and related sources.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
  4. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
  5. Minimum 8 years’ experience as a procurement expert, officer, agent or related position.
  6. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Excel).
  7. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  8. Ability to negotiate, establish, and manage contracts.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  11. Accurate and precise attention to details.
  12. Ability to work well with management team and staff at all levels.
  13. Goal-oriented, organized team player and should have a good knowledge of market research.
  14. English &Kurdish is a must and Arabic is a plus.
