Chemical Engineer

Position: Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and equipment for large-scale manufacturing.
2. Analyze processes and data to identify areas for improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
4. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of chemical processes.
5. Develop safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe operations.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including biologists, chemists, and mechanical engineers to achieve project goals.
7. Simulate and model processes using specialized software.
8. Evaluate and select equipment and materials necessary for production.
9. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning environmental impacts and chemical safety.
10. Prepare reports, patents, and technical manuals for knowledge transfer and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s or higher is preferred for certain positions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with chemical process modeling software like Aspen Plus or ChemCAD.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the chemical industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
