This role is onsite in Basra, Iraq with Travel Requirement.
Rotation: 5 days on 2 days off

Key Objectives
The Chemical Management Coordinator would be responsible for management of chemicals at Client Site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the point-of-contact for all aspects of the Client’s chemical management
- Coordinate with chemical vendor(s) on day to day basis to ensure consistent supply of chemicals. Manage chemical inventories. Identifying supply chain risks early and take corrective actions
- Ensure contract compliance by vendors and support any bottlenecks identified
- Initiate, follow-up and issue purchase orders in a timely basis by working with Operations and procurement
- Coordinate with vendor manpower (account manager/technicians/SME)
- Develop weekly monthly and annual reports on chemical consumption and future requirement projections.
- Lead investigations on process upsets/trips caused by chemicals or chemical injection systems
- Coordinate collection of chemicals related data from chemical vendor, operations, lab personnel etc. Maintain chemical management database(s)
- Facilitate meetings with chemical vendors and steward action items
- Ensure compliance of quality control procedures by chemical vendor(s). Lead teams to investigate incidents and followup on corrective actions. Conduct periodic assessment to identify gaps
- Review and seek approvals for MOC requests (changes to chemicals or dosages
- Ensure compliance of Safety standards with regard to chemicals. Coordinate with subject matter experts (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Waste Management) to determine appropriate controls for chemical storage
- Utilizes historical chemical inventory and consumption data to minimize excess/expired chemicals to reduce waste and optimize chemical usage.
- Conduct budgetary planning year on year. Determines bulk chemical quantities needed to support production and integrity goals
- Coordinates bulk chemical deliveries to ensure production goals and schedules are met.
- Provide support for the chemical management database.
- Supports engineering and OR (Operation Readiness) in selecting, testing and purchase of new chemicals for process changes.
- Track chemicals from receipt at respective facility through distribution, storage, use and disposal.
- Ensure that chemical containers are stored safely and compliantly, facility limits are not surpassed and that established tracking systems are being utilized properly.
- Provide reports on KPIs, issues, status of actions and plans to stakeholders in operations, Surface technical, Safety Department
- Develop weekly monthly and annual reports on chemical consumption and future requirement projections.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or Chemistry with excellent academic background
- Experience with chemical management with IOC’s or specialist chemical supply companies.
- 5-10+ years’ experience in the oil field with significant chemical management experience
- Willing to spend considerable time in the field
