Civil Construction Engineer – Iraq Nationals

Wood is currently recruiting for Civil Construction Engineer – Iraq National to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq on a 6/1 Daily work schedule

Responsibilities

  • Manage, Plan, coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Coordinate with design team on shop drawings and other engineering related issues
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Construction Scope to Completion & Ready for Commission status.
  • Responsible for monitoring Construction Contractors technical compliance and quality standards are being achieved.
  • Monitor the planned dates for the project deliverables from sub-contractor is line with the construction sequence and further to the hand over sequence.
  • Assure that the final design has been followed by the construction contractor.
  • Progress reporting to Lead Construction engineers.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the oil and gas industry
  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent academic qualification
  • Familiar with ASME, International design codes and standards
  • Familiar with Oil and Gas Industry construction practices and safety standards
  • Fluent in English speaking, reading and writing
  • Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
  • Applicants MUST have a Basra residency card.
