Civil Engineer

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Civil Engineer for our construction project,  as a Civil Engineer, your responsibility is to develop and maintain public structures such as roads, buildings, , etc. You should plan, design and construct structures for our construction projects and monitor their progress. You should also oversee the land survey report, map data on a large scale and develop a plan and blueprints for the site.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibility:

1. Design and plan model of the building or structure.
2. Manage surveying operations in order to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide the construction or its design.
3. Assist and coordinate with the Project Manager on a regular basis.
4. Assess the potential risks and make suggestions to avoid them.
5. Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
6. Monitor the performance of the employees working on a site.
7. Determine the environmental impacts of the project.
8. Troubleshoot any problems in designs and plans and make sure they are completely followed by the workers.
9. Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
10. Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
11. Implement various procedures and policies on the project.
12. Any other duties as assigned by – or via the supervisory line.

Qualification & preferred skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or relevant field.
• 5 years of working as a Civil Engineer on a construction site or a similar role in the Engineering Department (Mandatory)
• A verified engineering license will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and structures.
• Understanding of Engineer design software such as Civil 3D AutoCAD etc.
• Understanding of Engineer design software such as Civil 3D AutoCAD etc.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Fluency in English and Kurdish (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to establish and maintain an effective working
