Position Summary:

Engineer who can develop and manage a geotechnical and concrete testing field laboratory. Must be physically fit to collect field samples and process samples in the field laboratory. Excellent record keeping skills required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Collect concrete and geotechnical field samples.
Perform laboratory testing on concrete and geotechnical samples in accordance with recognized international codes and standards.
Supervise preparation and collection of samples by sub-contractors.
Witness 3^rd party testing of civil and geotechnical samples.
Prepare test reports.
Maintain company’s field-testing laboratory.
General civil construction supervision duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degreed Civil or Geotechnical Engineer, or related discipline. Will consider a non-engineer that has worked in a testing laboratory for more than 5 years. Will also consider training someone with only educational experience if they demonstrate that they are highly motivated.
Familiarity with ASTM geotechnical and concrete testing requirements is a plus.
Must be highly organized and capable of detailed record keeping.
Experience with Microsoft Office with focus on Excel.
Driving License is Required.
English and Kurdish language and writing skills are required.

Physical Requirements (if needed):

This position will be a field and laboratory setting, must be able to lift 20 kilos and in good physical condition.
