Position Title: Co-Working Space SpecialistAppointment Title: Full-time

Contract Length: 12 Months Renewable Contract

Reporting To: Programmes Manager

Location: Baghdad, Iraq


Job Description:

Our Co-Working Space Specialist is responsible for managing the co-working space’s core functions as well as the relationship between its startups and The Station team. They will also pursue opportunities to develop our startup community even further and monitor challenges to ensure that startups are continuously receiving the necessary support, and how The Station programmes team can continue to develop exciting opportunities for them. The candidate will be responsible for covering the co-working space in our Baghdad branch.


Key Responsibilities:

□    Manage the co-working space’s activities, initiatives and services.

□    Develop the co-working space’s application form and interview process for new startups.

□    Interview new applicants for the co-working space and make recommendations with both the Executive Director and Programmes Manager on those startups applying.

□    Seek partnership agreements between The Station and startups in the co-working space to facilitate mutually beneficial collaborations.

□    Foster positive relationships between visitors and the co-working space by providing tours to our community who wish to discover more about our facilities.

□    Contribute to writing articles for The Station’s newsletter related to the co-working space’s activities and news from our startups.

□    Conduct periodic evaluation of the startups in the co-working space.

□    Collect quality data on a regular basis from The Station’s hosted startups to ensure performance indicators.

□    Complete a monthly report to capture the co-working space status featuring both qualitative and quantities data.

□    Support the Executive Director and the Programs Manager directly in developing ideas for the co–working space.

□    Produce and maintain a database of introductory presentations on each of the startups to be utilized during events, workshops, meetings and round table discussions etc.

□    Organize and manage monthly events for the co-working space that will serve as opportunities for startups to familiarize themselves with those whom they share a working space with. Building rapport between startups is imperative for a healthy functioning space.

□    Represent The Station’s co-working space at meetings, events and workshops


Required Qualifications and/or Experience:

□    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients.

□    Experience in planning and leading community-related initiatives.

□    Experience working with multiple clients

□    Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).

□    Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

□    Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of our policies, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

□    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, however, candidates with two years of experience in a relevant field will be considered.

□    Must have fluent written and spoken Arabic. Good English skills is required.
