Position Summary:

The Colocation Manager is responsible for ensuring that TASC has accurate and up-to-date information on all its’ tower sites (e.g., space availability, tower structure, permits, etc.) in order to ensure a smooth co-location rollout. This position acts as the bridge between the sales department and the technical department, scheduling the timing of work required prior to customer equipment placements and monitoring timelines.  Additionally, the Colocation Manager will be responsible for giving the go-ahead on co-location projects. The position will also oversee the documentation and regulatory specialists to ensure airtight compliance with regulatory requirements in company documentation, while regularly assessing the accuracy of tower data. They will be in frequent communication with the Asset & Property Director, providing relevant status updates on TASC co-location projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure TASC tower sites are ready for co-locations by assuring that tower sites have accurate and up-to-date documentation on space availability, permits, etc.
  • Plan and control co-location project scheduling with technical and commercial departments.
  • Manage and update documentation upload processes and propose changes to the documentation database to ensure accurate site knowledge.
  • Manage a team of Documentation Specialists and Regulatory Specialists, ensuring key deliverables are met in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Oversee the compliance of TASC co-location project documentation and operations through the Documentation and Regulatory Specialists.
  • Frequently communicate with commercial department to understand specific client co-location needs, and provide solutions and to proactively suggest co-location opportunities.
  • Monitor and ensure staff achieve relevant performance KPIs and propose solutions and recommendations to grow the team.
  • Provide frequent status updates and reports to the Asset & Property Director documenting key progressions as well as delays or complications with project work.
  • Participate in site visits as required.
  • Optimize existing site colocation synergies to increase revenue and profit potential.
  • Manage & achieve the colocation orders received from the commercial team.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Asset & Property Director.

Required Experience:

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to direct a team by setting goals and priorities that result in the achievement of operational and regulatory deliverables.
  • Expert-level knowledge of telecommunications site processes and operations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong dedication to customer service.
  • Excellent ability to analyze complex operational and financial information to identify optimum outcomes and inform company initiatives.
  • Superb ability to identify and diagnose operational problems, then institute effective remedies.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in wireless telecommunications, including co-location operations and client management
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Middle East market.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or other master’s degree preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Fluency (both oral and written) in both English and Arabic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills are required.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team in essential.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving
