Job Description:

  • Brief Overview of the Position:

The Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) organization is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consortium Finance Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the financial and administrative functions of our consortium. He/she will report to the financial manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of the organization and support the financial management of collaborative projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Management:
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of consortium budgets.
    • Process financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
    • Track and reconcile financial data, including expenses, receipts, and bank statements.
    • Support in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative assistance to ensure smooth operations of the consortium.
    • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events related to consortium activities.
    • Maintain organized records of financial and administrative documents.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  3. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, organizational policies, and donor guidelines.
    • Support the preparation of financial reports for submission to donors.
    • Assist in audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and information.

 

  • Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

    • Proven experience in finance and administration, particularly in the context of consortium projects.as minimum 3 years
    • Familiarity with financial management software and tools.
    • NGO¬† Experience minimum 3 years

Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and meet deadlines.

Knowledge:

    • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Knowledge of donor-funded project financial management.
