  • Brief Overview of the Position:

Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Consortium Logistics Officer. This key role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of logistics activities within the consortium.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination:

Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all logistics activities within the consortium. This includes coordinating the transportation of goods, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

Supply Chain Management:

Work closely with consortium partners to streamline the supply chain process. Monitor and assess the performance of suppliers, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

 

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards in all logistics operations. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a high level of quality and integrity in the supply chain.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, prepare regular reports, and communicate effectively with the line manager (Executive Director/Program Manager) on the status of logistics operations. Provide timely updates and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in logistics and supply chain will be advantageous.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a consortium or collaborative setting. Demonstrated success in coordinating complex logistics operations.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, consortium partners, and external stakeholders is crucial.

Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving. Ability to interpret and use data to make informed decisions and improve logistics processes.

Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing projects from conception to completion.

The Consortium Logistics Officer will report directly to the line manager, the Executive Director, and will be a key player in ensuring the success of the consortium’s logistics operations.
