BAT IRAQIA IS LOOKING FOR A CORPORATE FINANCE ANALYST

FUNCTION: Finance

LOCATION: Erbil, Iraq

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

– Provide financial and commercial support to management, through complete and accurate financial and accounting information.

– Plan, develop and control all aspects associated with the completion of all local financial accounting related issues (including cash flow management, General Ledger, Accounts receivables, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets management, Bank Reconciliations, and dealing with internal and External Auditors, to produce monthly, quarterly and yearly Financial Statements as required by Management and local statutory institutions).

Reports to: Assistant Finance Manager

Geographic Scope: Iraq

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Ensures comprehensive collection, processing, recording, and reporting of financial data.
  • Ensures that records of revenue and expenditure are properly maintained and available.
  • Supervises the processing of invoices and debit/credit notes and ensure proper booking on the system.
  • Manage General Ledger reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors)
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of cash and expenses with distributor(s).
  • Manage excise and duties reconciliations and payments.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closure processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Executes additional tasks in order to meet development and change objectives.
  • Manage the presence of audit and tax through providing accurate financial and accounting information.
  • Ensure a strong system of internal controls within the daily operations.
  • Manage resource allocation of Iraq market (Budget and actuals tracking).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • At least 3 years working experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Bachelor Degree in related fields
  • Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Good command of English spoken and written.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and apply high professional standards.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive, curious, and ambitious with strong teamwork capabilities and ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Excel knowledge is a must

BENEFICIAL

  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Arabic and Kurdish languages are a plus.
