General Description of the Role (Brief):
The HR Officer will be responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient and ethical application of HR policies, staff management, and overseeing administrative operations. |
Main Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition · Lead the recruitment process, including posting job openings, conducting written tests, interviews, and Checking references. · Liaise with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide guidance on effective recruitment practices. · Ensure diversity and gender balance in recruitment processes in line with organizational values. · Maintain an updated recruitment tracker and provide regular reports on recruitment progress. · Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations and the local labor law. Onboarding and Offboarding · Coordinate and conduct onboarding sessions for new staff to ensure smooth integration into the organization and country program. · Prepare and update welcome packages and orientation materials. · Manage the exit process for departing staff, including conducting exit interviews and finalizing clearance procedures. Performance Management and Staff Development · Coordinate the performance management process, ensuring timely completion of performance appraisals and follow-up actions. · Maintain training records and provide reports on staff capacity-building activities. HR Reporting and Data Management · Maintain accurate HR records [Soft & Hard Copies] and prepare regular HR reports for senior Sr. HR & Admin Coordinator. · Ensure data protection and confidentiality in line with organizational and legal standards. Safeguarding Component: · knowledge of safeguarding principles, including Child Protection and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH). · Understanding of safeguarding policy implementation and reporting. · Ability to promote a culture of safety, respect, and accountability within the organization |
Required Experience, Skills & Abilities
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within an INGO. · Knowledge of local labor laws, employment practices, and humanitarian principles. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including cross-cultural communication. · Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities. · Fluency in English, Kurdish & Arabic. · Attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management skills. |
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, BA, or a related field. |
