Overview:

Asuda is an Iraqi NGO committed to combating violence against women and was founded in 2000. It was registered in May 2001 in Sulaymaniyah with the Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Cooperation in Iraqi Kurdistan and also registered with the NGO Directorate in Baghdad in 2011. Asuda is dedicated to combating violence against women through an institutional and systematic approach in order to enhance the status of women and strengthen civil society through participation of women.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, including surveys, program records, and external reports.
  • Analyze data to generate actionable insights on the effectiveness of ongoing projects and programs aimed at empowering women and girls.
  • Work with project teams to design data collection tools, ensuring that data gathered is accurate, comprehensive, and meaningful.
  • Develop reports and visualizations that clearly present data findings to stakeholders, including funders, government bodies, and the public.
  • Monitor trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of our initiatives.
  • Assist in creating databases or management systems for more effective and efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with program managers to identify areas for improvement and recommend data-driven strategies for enhancing program outcomes.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to ethical data handling standards.
  • Provide training and technical support to staff on data management tools and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic language.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the NGO sector or with social impact projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, R, or Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with issues related to women’s rights, gender equality, and community development is a plus.
  • Fluency in Kurdish and/or Arabic is required; English proficiency is highly desirable.
