Wood is currently recruiting for Document controller with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Candidate must be able to work on daily basis 6/1 ; we are only considering applications from local Iraqi nationals preferably residing in Iraq, Basra.

 

Primary Role:

  • To promote safe behaviour at all times.
  • To issue and receive controlled project documentation.
  • To generate electronic transmittals to the project, Client, and Suppliers.
  • To store, archive, and retrieve documentation according to Company/Project standards and policies.

Skills / Qualifications

Principal Responsibilities:

  • To issue and receive controlled documentation by creating/receiving electronic transmittals to/from the Project, Client, and Suppliers.
  • To scan project documentation and liaise with external reprographics companies as required.
  • The filing of project documentation and drawings in accordance with the project naming and numbering procedure.
  • To ensure that all information that is created, reviewed, or published aligns with the document classification scheme and Company retention and disposal guidelines.To assist the Lead Document Controller with any quality checks and audits of the docbase; identifying and correcting and anomalies.
  • To act as a Documentum Administrator with respect to security settings, permissions, creating new projects, user accounts, templates, etc.
  • High school education is essential.
  • Diploma in a relevant accounting or administration subject preferred.
  • relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Must be able to work to an agreed scope, budget and schedule.
  • An active listener with the ability to focus on customer requirements.
  • Experience Information Management methodologies, Content Management capabilities, and Record Management capabilities.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office packages especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience with Aconex an advantage.
  • Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes.
