The Early Career Traineeship is designed for fresh graduates where Baker Hughes will train fresh talent who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a specific business. The traineeship duration is 12 months in (Basra-Iraq) and will develop your technical knowledge and soft skills and provide on the job learning and exposure.
As part of our Early Career Traineeship, you will be involved in:
Attending classroom trainings and field jobs to fully understand the industrial and Energy technology Operations and related applications. By the end of the training program, you shall possess comprehensive knowledge of rotating equipment, operations, ranging from gas turbine, compressors, inspections, services, mobilization, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning.
Also you will:
- Learning about the technical engineering support from experienced technical-commercial engineers.
- Learn and comply with Baker Hughes HSE policies to familiarize the trainees on Baker Hughes Safety Standards.
- Wellsite visits for monitoring and watching the execution phases.
- Basic Field work, which includes supervision, field surveys, testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Gaining hands on experience on certified high performing machines.
- • Scheduling meetings and visits and briefing suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and insure the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Assisting in the successful completion of all field projects as directed.

To be successful in this traineeship you will require to:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical or Electronics engineering, Chemical engineering, or Chemistry Graduated from your bachelors’ degree within the last 24 months.
- Have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
- Be fluent in written and spoken English and have effective communication skills.
- Be inquisitive and present a thirst for knowledge.
- Be legally entitled to work within the country in which you are applying, without sponsorship or time restrictions.
