Reuters is looking for a highly responsible and professional administrative assistant to provide a wide range of support for our editorial operations in Iraq.

About the Role:

As our Editorial Operations Administrator for the Baghdad Bureau, you will:

  • Assist in providing administrative services as needed to facilitate smooth editorial operations and fill in for the office manager as required.
  • Be a liaison for the company with the relevant government entities including to arrange for visas, work permits, accreditation, access badges and other documentation.
  • Draft correspondence and communications as required by internal management for approval.
  • Handle payments for freelancers, vendors and suppliers in line with the company’s approval process.
  • Dealing with Iraq customs department as required
  • Working well with internal management and departments, as well as external parties including government entities and suppliers.
  • Compliance with general office, departmental and company policies and procedures

About You:

To be our Editorial Operations Administrator, you will likely have:

  • Experience providing administrative services for international companies in Iraq
  • Experience in dealing with government departments in Iraq
  •  Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is a requirement. English languages skills are preferred.
