Education and protection Facilitator – Ninewa

World Vision – Iraq Office is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of Education and protection Facilitator – Ninewa
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Education facilitator: is responsible for providing Catch Up Program (CUP) and/or Adolescent Girls sessions for children to fill the learning gap and to empower the girls’ life skills.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Planning and Implementation:
- Collaborate with project officer to develop detailed implementation plans for education and protection activities in line with project objectives.
- Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of education activities, including formal and non-formal education programs and life skills development.
- Facilitate child protection activities, including CUP, Empowering sessions for adolescent girls, community awareness campaigns, and child rights advocacy.
- Work with the Education & CP field supervisor and/or Project Officer for planning and scheduling the activities.
- Work for necessary preparation and manage and store the equipment appropriately every time the session is provided.
Community Engagement and Capacity Building:
- Establish positive relationships with local communities, children, parents, and caregivers to ensure their active participation in program activities.
- Conduct community sensitization and awareness sessions on child protection, education, and related issues.
Data keeping:
- Keep track and documents of attendance and records of the participants.
Child Safeguarding and Ethics:
- Uphold the organization’s child safeguarding policies and procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of children participating in program activities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards in dealing with sensitive child protection cases.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills with children of different age groups and adults (staff and community members).
- Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to cope and work under pressure.
- Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
- Familiar with Humanitarian Principles and standards.
- Familiar with Iraqi education system and cultural and social context.
- Full adherence to World Vision Children and Adult Safeguarding as well as Conflict of Interest policies.
- University degree in Psychology, Education or Social Work, Professional training on Child Protection related area can be accepted in Lieu of Degree program.

- English knowledge plus
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
- Possible travel to Erbil a few times during the contract period
- Presence according to WVI P&C policy
