Need Assessment:

  • Participate in the implementation of needs assessments and assessment of schools that need to be rehabilitated and / or implemented in the project, through technical feasibility studies.
  • Program implementation:
  • Follow-up/Supervision of the activities related to the construction and rehabilitation infrastructures in public institutions and communities, such as:
  • Preparation of BOQs and drawings for all type of Infrastructure.
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of materials delivered to construction sites by Save the Children and its subcontractors and maintaining proper record.
  • Ensure all safety measures are taken at site during construction work to avoid any incident.
  • Ensure all rehabilitation sector related



  • Organize & supervise the installation, rehabilitation of schools and other learning centers.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning:
  • Ensure that infrastructure construction and rehabilitation works are carried out according to quality standards established by Save the Children through quality checklists.

Participate in, and engage with the MEAL Department in drafting assessments, including rapid need, baseline, post distribution, or end line assessment.

  • Ensure the database of beneficiaries reached are updated and compliant.
  • Weekly reporting of data to follow up the standard project and strategic indicators (number of beneficiaries, number and type of activities completed.)



  • Weekly reporting to line Manager, including key achievements and planning for the following week.
  • Integration, coordination, and cross cutting issues:
  • Ensure that construction work is integrated with community participation component, to ensure sustainability of the infrastructure built.
  • Coordinate construction/ Rehab activities with other sectors of Save the Children, to integrate activities in the same geographical area and for the same beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate construction/Rehab activities with other local actors (governmental and non-governmental).
  • Ensure the integration of gender, child protection

Relevant degree (Civil Engineer, Water Engineer or equivalent acquired through experience)>


  • Previous experience in implementation of construction and rehabilitation projects
  • Excellent IT skills including good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Ability to establish strong working relationship with colleagues from different function and cultures.
  • Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing high workload and multiple tasks in a high-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Capacity of proactively identifying and addressing issues related to programme implementation.
  • Medium command of English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to work in retaken areas
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of SC. In particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support
