Wood is currently looking for a Electrical and Instrumentation Construction Lead to strengthen our team in Iraq.
- Supervision of electrical and instrumentation construction activities
- Manage International and Local Construction Contractors on behalf of Owner to ensure safety, quality and technical correctness in line with drawings, specifications and technical standards
- Drive (HSSE) standards, procedures, rules and regulations
- Establish and maintain good working relations with Project, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations counterparts
- Contribute to successful interfaces with other stakeholders
- Coordinate with Project Leads on materials and design delivery to support construction activities
- Ability to supervise, train and develop Local National teams
- Tailor construction and execution approaches considering the local contracting market and capabilities
- Champion performance against measurable construction targets as part of the overall project schedule
Skills / Qualifications
- HND or home country equivalent: relevant discipline. BSc degree is an advantage.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
- Minimum of 6 years experience in similar role in Operating Company
- PMC experience required
- Having experience in the pre-requisites of E&I Mechanical Completion (MC) up to MC close out (Coordinator experience) is an advantage.
- Iraq / Middle East experience and knowledge of Arabic culture preferable
