Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for a Electrical and Instrumentation Construction Lead to strengthen our team in Iraq.

  • Supervision of electrical and instrumentation construction activities
  • Manage International and Local Construction Contractors on behalf of Owner to ensure safety, quality and technical correctness in line with drawings, specifications and technical standards
  • Drive (HSSE) standards, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Establish and maintain good working relations with Project, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations counterparts
  • Contribute to successful interfaces with other stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Project Leads on materials and design delivery to support construction activities
  • Ability to supervise, train and develop Local National teams
  • Tailor construction and execution approaches considering the local contracting market and capabilities
  • Champion performance against measurable construction targets as part of the overall project schedule

Skills / Qualifications

  • HND or home country equivalent: relevant discipline. BSc degree is an advantage.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in similar role in Operating Company
  • PMC experience required
  • Having experience in the pre-requisites of E&I Mechanical Completion (MC) up to MC close out (Coordinator experience) is an advantage.
  • Iraq / Middle East experience and knowledge of Arabic culture preferable
