Wood is currently looking for Electrical & Instrument Advisor to support our team in Iraq/Basra rotational 5×3

Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for Electrical Advisor to support our team in Iraq/Basra rotational 5×3

  • Responsible for developing and monitor program to improve existing electrical equipment reliability at WQ1 field
  • Identify electrical potential issues and provide engineering solutions
  • Identify any obsolete electrical equipment and plan forward for upgrade
  • Identify area under electrical required improvement to bring more reliable system
  • Deliver engineering solution related to electrical for day today oil and gas operation
  • Prepare details engineering (engineering work pack) and MoC for not like to like
  • modification or replacement to be executed by others department
  • Perform root cause & failure analysis (RCFA) for any trip that happen in oil and gas plant
  • Maintain electrical non-conformance tracking list
  • Maintain and follow up on RCFA action items related to electrical
  • Support electrical maintenance for troubleshooting activity or any engineering solution if needed.
  • Interface with project team to provide input / lesson learn related to electrical during new project development
  • Interface with operation readiness for new project will come to operation, ensure
  • new project has been deliver as per standard, electrical equipment register, and PM program has been updated
  • Responsible for providing technical support in procurement of electrical
  • equipment/materials when required
  • Responsible for coordination and communication with other disciplines, as an electrical focal point
  • Support ST Manager and Integrity, Reliability & Measurement Section Head in any special assignment

Qualifications

  • Must have a good understanding and knowledge of upstream oil & gas onshore
  • processing and facilities
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Electrical equipment and package required for
  • Onshore oil & gas plant/refinery/petrochemical plant
  • Conversant with ASME/ANSI, API, ATEX, ISO, IEC, NEMA, NEC, NFPA and other
  • international codes and standards applicable for Electrical design
  •  Proficient in design, selection and sizing of HV/MV/LV Electrical Equipment/
  • Component (Transformer, Switchgear, Protection Relay, Cable, ATS, etc), AC/DC
  • UPS, VFD, Motor Starter, Motor, Control Panel, Gas Turbine Generator Control, Power Generation & Distribution, PLC, etc
  • Good understanding and hands-on on relay coordinating setting analysis and recommendation.
  •  Knowledge in ETAP Software
  •  Knowledge in API hazardous area classification and equipment selection is must.
  •  Good command of written and spoken English
  •  Excellent in communication and presentation skills, coordination and organizing
  • skills with ability to work with minimal supervision, strong focusing on goal and
  •  liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within / outside
  • Department
  •  Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and integrity
  •  Stakeholder Management skills – Proven ability to build strong working
  • relationship with internal and external parties
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in onshore upstream oil & gas plant and/or
  • Petrochemical and/or Refinery industry as Senior Electrical Engineer (preferably
  • in middle east region)
  • Strong experiences in surface technical engineering and some maintenance
  • Have knowledge and understanding on oil and gas upstream process and facilities
