Job Overview

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct door-to-door surveys, visiting assigned locations and households to gather data using Survey CTO and other tools, ensuring accurate and complete data entry.
  • Collect and record data on specific subjects as per project requirements, maintaining precision and thoroughness in data capture.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of collected data, identifying and correcting any errors or inconsistencies during the collection process.
  • Follow prescribed survey protocols and guidelines, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of respondent information throughout the data collection process.
  • Properly use and maintain data collection equipment, including tablets, smartphones, and other digital tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Provide daily updates and reports on the progress of data collection activities, including any challenges or issues encountered, to supervisors and project managers.
  • Work closely with supervisors and project managers to ensure smooth and efficient data collection operations, including attending regular meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Address any questions or concerns from respondents courteously and professionally, providing clear and accurate information about the survey purpose and process.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols while conducting fieldwork, ensuring personal safety and the safety of respondents at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in research and data collection, including using digital tools such as SurveyCTO.
  • Arabic language is required, Kurdish and English are advantageous.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in collecting data.
  • Previous experience in data collection, particularly in health-related and AVR surveys, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with household surveys or community-based research are relevant.
  • Experience with Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) are advantageous
