JOB SUMMARY

 

ERT team members provide immediate tactical responses in order to defend base personnel, facilities, and assets against identified threats using current defensive tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Be prepared to assist emergency services

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform duties as part of a tactical team, providing armed response.
  • Utilize special weapons and tactics “shoot, move, and communicate.”
  • Establish a blocking force to delay or deny threat elements.
  • Conduct search and clearance operations of facilities and areas when required.
  • Establish cordons and entry/traffic control in areas identified as public hazards.
  • Conduct training for posted sentries as required.
  • Participate in advanced security preparations. Perform personnel protective service detail assignments if required (Amber Zone).
  • Conduct riot, crowd control, and dispersal operations as required.
  • Coordinate and liaise with all other sections within the Security Group for response to situations as directed by the Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, or ERT Manager.
  • Participate in daily briefings and training.
  • Remain cognizant of emerging threats and vulnerabilities that may adversely impact the program, and communicate them to the Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, or BDOC.
  • Act in accordance with and enforce all applicable policies, rules, regulations, and laws of Host Nation and US governments, as well as Corporate, Program, and Security management offices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Private Security Company Level III certification or equivalent is required.
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is required.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • High computer literacy, including proficiency with the MS Office suite, is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with foreign weapon systems is required.
  • Experience with electronic security systems, static guard force operations with integrated towers, K9 support, and entry control point procedures is highly preferred.
  • Thorough familiarity with standard base defense strategies is required.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports of sufficient quality for the Team Leader is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working in security roles with a Private Security Company, Government Agency, Military Combat Arms Specialty (Infantry, Armor, Security Forces, etc.), Law Enforcement Agency, or a combination thereof is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in security roles within an internationally recognized conflict zone, including but not limited to countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel, Sudan, Somalia, East Africa, or Ukraine, is required.
  • Official documentation defining service history is required (other referenced certifications may be required upon official request, especially if using military time to meet qualifications).
  • Experience in mentoring, training, advising, or teaching foreign military, government, or law enforcement personnel is highly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Willingness to be flexible with work hours and to respond quickly to time-sensitive or urgent requirements.
