Event Manager

Job Overview


The Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various types of events, ensuring they run smoothly from conception to completion. This role requires exceptional organizational abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Event Manager plays a vital role in creating memorable and successful events that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, product launches, corporate parties, sponsored events and more.
  • Develop event budgets, track expenses, and make cost-effective decisions to ensure events are executed within the allocated budget.
  • Source and manage relationships with event vendors, including venues, catering, audiovisual equipment, decorations, and other service providers.Organize event
  • logistics, such as event timelines, schedules, seating arrangements, transportation, and accommodations for attendees.
  • Oversee event registration processes, handle attendee inquiries, and ensure a seamless check-in experience on the event day.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop event programs, agendas, and schedules that meet the objectives of the event and engage participants.
  • Work with the operations team to create event promotional materials, manage social media campaigns, and effectively market the event to the target audience.
  • Lead on-site event management, coordinating all aspects of the event, managing staff or volunteers, addressing issues, and ensuring a successful event experience.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges that may arise during the event.
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and develop partnerships to enhance event support, funding, and overall success.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to analyze event success, gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, design, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management. These may include system implementations, process changes, and other initiatives to drive company’s growth and efficiency.
  • Any other tasks requested by the line manager or line of management.
  • Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a similar event planning and sponsorship role.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams, vendors, sponsors, and attendees.
  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably including experience in organizing a variety of events.
  • Excellent drafting and reporting skills in English, Arabic and Kurdish.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Number Of Positions

Bachelor in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
