Summary:
The Factory Manager is a senior leadership position accountable and responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of operations and frozen food production within the factory. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality frozen food products. The Factory Manager will lead a team of production staff, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and product quality, increase loyalty, and decrease unnecessary overtime and labors’ turnover determination of necessary Factory’s TNA. In addition, the Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing various aspects of the factory’s operations. This includes alignment with the human resources department to ensure the recruitment, training, and development of a skilled workforce. The Factory Manager collaborates with the supply chain department to enhance procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes, contributing to improved cost-efficiency and timely deliveries. Quality control and assurance are also paramount, with the Factory Manager actively monitoring and enhancing quality management systems to reduce defects and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Oversee all aspects of frozen food production, including scheduling, staffing, and production planning to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that frozen food products meet or exceed quality standards and that production processes adhere to quality control procedures.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and compliant production environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Equipment and Maintenance: Manage and maintain production equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels, optimizing storage and minimizing waste.
- Cost Control: Manage production costs, monitor budgetary targets, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance to minimize.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for production team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Production Reports: Prepare regular production reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and report to senior management.
- Hygiene, cleaning, and Sanitation: Ensure that the production facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, following food safety and sanitation standards.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement environmentally responsible practices and initiatives to minimize the environmental footprint of production processes.
Experience & Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in food production, with a focus on frozen food production.
- SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics background would be perfect.
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing production processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Experience with production management software and inventory systems.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and equipment maintenance.
- HACCP, food safety certifications and, ISO desirable.
