Job Title: Field Civil Engineer

Job Location: Iraq – Baghdad.

Job Type: On-site, Field Civil Engineer

Job Duration: approx. 2+ years leading to potential permanent position, should be able to start immediately.

Required Education & Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years in field experience in commercial building and infrastructure or related industry.
• Proficiency in English, and Arabic verbal and writing communication.

Preferred Work Skills:

• Basic computer skills in Microsoft office (Excel, Projects, …)
• Good Knowledge in Engineering programs, AutoCAD, ETABS, …
• Ability to: problem solving and use of math and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret drawings and project schedules.
• Ability to stand on your feet outdoor for 8 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning and coordinating all on–site construction activities with site construction manager.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, supervisors and site managers.
• Overseeing daily functions of work site.
• Preparing and submitting site documentation.
• Working with supervisors to ensure safety compliance and the creation of a safe working environment.
• Monitoring project costs and variations.
• Interpreting architectural and engineering plans, drawings, specifications and designs.
• Develop and track site Request for Information (RFI) inquires to design engineer
• Implement site redline for as-built development
• Assisting in the development of construction methodologies and safety documentation.
• Overseeing the delivery of materials and equipment.
• Effectively present complex technical information to guide decision making
• Implement site commissioning and closure plans
