Brief description of the organization

Al-Mesalla.ORG for Human Resources Development is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization registered with both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Central Government. Since 2004, Al-Mesalla has been actively operating in Iraq, focusing on civil society empowerment, women’s rights, livelihoods, peace, and justice.

 

 

BACKGROUND

 

She/he Field Coordinator facilitates on-the-ground operations for “Sawt al-Nisaa in Ninewa,” ensuring effective implementation of project activities and direct engagement with the community and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage detailed plans for daily operations and special events, coordinating with other team members and local partners.
  • Community Engagement and Mobilization: Lead outreach efforts to involve women and community leaders in project activities. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and public meetings.
  • Logistical Support: Manage logistics for all field activities, including transportation, venue selection, and material procurement.
  • Staff Supervision and Support: Supervise field staff, providing clear direction and support. Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Data Collection and Monitoring: Oversee and participate in the collection of field data. Monitor the progress of field activities against project goals.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during field operations, applying adaptive management techniques to address challenges.
  • Coordination with the HR Department regarding duties and responsibilities assigned to her/him.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Community Development, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in field coordination or project implementation, preferably in a conflict-affected area.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and logistical planning skills; effective communication and team management abilities.
  • Language: Fluency in the local language (Arabic) is preferred. Proficiency in English is also beneficial for reporting and communication with the project management team and international stakeholders.
