Job Summary

The role of the Field Service Engineer is to provide residential site services for Emerson’s DeltaV System including maintenance services, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up and problem resolution

The Service Engineer is the link between customer needs/constraints and the Emerson Systems and Software Operations teams. He works within the Lifecycle services organization. The Service Engineer is the residential engineer for Long Term Service Agreement Contract with  Lukoil Iraq.

Job Description

Perform as a focal point for customer technical support including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. Advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer happiness. Responsible for coordination of Emerson personnel and service activities to ensure the delivery of the results encouraged by the customer.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform service and maintenance tasks in accordance with customer schedule on rotation basis.
  • Provide recommendations to the customer on product or solutions, improvements and system health checks.
  • Own the process of providing resolution to sophisticated technical issues and resolve Customer disruptive events, where appropriate collaborating with Emerson CSE (GSC and Product Engineering).
  • Participate in and lead client support activities such as site surveys; FEED studies; fixing / support call resolution; system modifications and training.
  • Provide on-site on-the-job customer instruction in the application, maintenance and operation of Emerson products.
  • Proactively identify Service/Product opportunities and assist the sales process
  • Proactively promote service, start up and commissioning services and support the sales team as required.
  • Align with all Emerson requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports and all other documentation in line with Emerson internal procedures.
Who you are?
  • Worked before on project engineering, services, management, scheduling, procurement, team coordination and sales support
  • Multidiscipline knowledge (Customer side and Emerson full portfolio)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • This role is required constantly presence on customer site in Iraq on rotation basis (28 days on, 28 days off
For this role you will need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering field (including control engineering, computer science, Instrumentation or electronics, etc.).
  • Confirmed experience in Industrial automation systems with Emerson DeltaV
  • Experience in Refining, Petrochemical, projects and service execution.
  • Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Associate level certification for all services the individual is performing at site and a Professional level certificate or equivalent experience in at least one field of expertise.
  • Sound knowledge of Emerson, Systems and Software products and services
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, typically with demonstrated ability in related areas.
