Position Title: Finance Intern

Duty Station: Duhok

Duration: 1 Month with Opportunity of extending.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Check bills and invoices before payment to ensure documents are accurately completed and approved with clear and specific charging notes; and ensure whether or not the policies, procedures and guidelines including specific grant/donor requirements are followed.
• Check Payment vouchers- PVA, checks for payment; prepare CR and General Journal vouchers – GJ on daily basis.
• Provide cash advances to program and admin staff and working to settle procurement, training and travel expenses. Ensure proper budget coding approvals from the authorized person and deliver the checks to concerned parties on timely basis.
• Handle all authorized petty cash payments.
• Maintain and organize finance documents in an orderly and secure manner.
• Scan all payment vouchers and upload onto online shared drive with maintain the scan filing system, Preparing an update list on the location and access for box files.
• Any other related tasks as requested by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Graduate
• Fresh graduate or a junior level experience
• Ability to work simultaneously with multiple tasks, willingness and ability to work efficiently with a wide diverse group of people.
• Understanding of written and spoken English is preferred.
• Computer literate (word, excel, power point).
• Commitment to Save the Children’s vision and mission and to improving the lives of children in Iraq.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

College Graduate or Fresh graduate or a junior level experience.
