Job Overview

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  2. Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  3. Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  4. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  5. Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
  6. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  7. Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met through developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  8. Prepare the company’s budget.
  9. Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  10. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  11. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  12. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  13. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  14. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  15. Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
  16. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  17. Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  18. Set the financial standards and the forecast process
  19. Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  20. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  21. Support month-end and year-end close process
  22. Plan, assign and review staff’s work and monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  23. Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
  24. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  25. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
  • More than 10 years of proven experience as a Financial Manager
  • Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
