Job Overview

Position Responsibilities Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager who will be responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for the acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles. The fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations. Fleet Manager will make the ultimate decision on whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Fleet Manager Responsibility:

  1. Direct supervision, hiring, and evaluating the work of employees as a first-line supervisor.
  2. Fleet Manager is responsible for deciding whether a vehicle makes environmental standards, whether a vehicle should be assigned to better meet the needs of the company, and whether a vehicle should be purchased, accepted as a donation, or disposed of.
  3. Develops and administers vehicle/equipment asset management processes from procurement to disposition.
  4. Develop efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
  5. Manage drivers so they adhere to strict schedules
  6. Register and license all vehicles under their management
  7. Find ways to cut costs and maximize profits
  8. Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency
  9. Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection
  10. Create vehicle purchase specifications and purchase vehicles for the company.
  11. Establish and monitor purchasing, operational, and replacement strategies and practices for the most cost-effective operation.
  12. Develop and implement training modules for vehicles and equipment use and care.
  13. Oversees the on-campus fueling stations. Reducing the Fleet’s carbon footprint and environmental impact.
  14. Responsible for all aspects of an operation for a full-fledged vehicle maintenance facility and one satellite equipment repair shop
  15. Any other duties as assigned by – or via the supervisory line.

Qualification & preferred skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role with the international oil and Gas industry in the KRG.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years experience or relevant experience.
  • Experience as an auto mechanic.
  • Experience in creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures, from vehicle assignment to replacement cycling, from personal use to accident reporting
  • Experience in price, spec, and purchase or lease vehicles Understand and track total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Budgetary experience negotiating skills
  • Fluency in English &Kurdish and Arabic (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship.
