Location     Basra, Iraq
Role Requirements

  • Military experience obligatory.
  • Private Security Company experience desirable, especially as Operator/ Medic.
  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas industry desirable.
  • Previous work experience in the Middle East desirable.
  • Good standard of written and verbal skills required.
  • Computer literacy advantageous.
  • Good inter-personal skills, both with Project, Client & external personnel.
  • Must be able to work productively under pressure.
  • Will need to demonstrate flexibility.
  • Must be physically fit to operate in extreme weather and arduous condition.
  • Be in possession of a current driving licence.
  • Be in possession of a clean police criminal records check.
  • In date frontline SIA licence (or equivalent from country of origin).
  • Minimum Level 3 medical qualifications such as Qualsafe’s FREC Level 3.
  • To have attended and passed an accredited CP course.

ServicesServices provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of protective services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of ENI, Basra. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:

 

Being responsible for assisting the Team Leader with the provision of armed security both mobile and static in order to provide the appropriate level of protection on all PST missions. In addition the PPO/ FPOS Medic is responsible for the provision of basic life support to ENI and GardaWorld staff and he reports directly to the PST Team Leader.

 

  • Act as PPO and vehicle commander on all PST movements outside the LSC.
  • Responsible for providing armed deterrent at all sites visited by the PST.
  • Responsible for delivering a security brief to all clients prior to departure.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of situational awareness on all missions.
  • Responsible for check navigation as required.
  • Perform any other tasks and duties not mentioned above as directed by Project management.

 

In the role of Team Leader he will be responsible for the daily management, operational training, conduct, discipline and welfare of the Iraqi and expatriate team members, as well as the effective planning, preparation and execution of PST operations in accordance with SOPs. He will report directly to the Security Operations Officer.

 

  • Administration, to include preparation of mission paperwork, routine reports and returns, risk assessments, leave plots and equipment husbandry.
  • Provide security escort and close protection of clients to/ at project sites.
  • Planning, preparation, execution and post-mission procedures of PST operations.
  • Train team members in close protection, TTPs, weapon and driving skills.
  • Responsible for arranging the temporary loan of assets, to include personnel and vehicles in order to maintain a mission capability at all times.
  • Perform any other tasks and duties not mentioned above as directed by Project management.
  • Any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
