Job Description: PAX is seeking a talented and passionate freelance photographer to document environmental and climate challenges as part of the Strengthening Collective Environmental Action in Iraq project. This initiative aims to raise public awareness and encourage positive environmental changes through impactful visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Capture unique environmental challenges and solutions at a local level in Mosul and surrounding areas.
• Document issues such as solid waste management, industrial pollution, water shortages, deforestation, and seasonal issues like wildfires.
• Highlight positive environmental initiatives by individuals or civil society groups.
• Conduct brief interviews to provide context to the imagery.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in environmental photography.
• Ability to capture both challenges and solutions in an impactful and respectful manner.
• Strong storytelling skills through visual media.
• It must be based in Mosul or the surrounding areas.

What We Offer:

• A short-term contract with financial compensation based on experience for 4-5 days of work.
• Flexibility in choosing the appropriate time period to capture the right conditions.
• Accredited use of imagery in project outreach materials.
