JOB SUMMARY

 

The Fuels Technician Senior provides operational oversight of refueling operations, management of manpower resources, equipment, coordinate fuel receipts, issues, and quality assurance compliance.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform bulk, retail and aircraft refueling operations.
  • Ensure that all government and US Air Force environmental regulations and SOPs are followed.
  • Manage resources and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage the property book for each site to have full visibility on all government furnished equipment (GFE) assigned.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
  • Successful performance of personal management
  • Have considerable expertise in employee relations, training, and development.
  • Be able to perform fuel testing procedures on ground fuel.
  • Ability to offload and upload fuel tanker trucks.
  • Knowledgeable of supervising fuel testing and maintenance / repair fuel handling equipment and facilities.
  • Must have operational knowledge of ATP-4-43-2, FM 10-67-1 & 2, and MIL-STD 3004B.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of and able to administer applicable FAA, OSHA and military regulatory guidance in ground refueling and airfield operations safety and DOT fuel storage and distribution provisions.
  • Demonstrate record of progressively greater scope of responsibilities.
  • Have documented supervisory experience and training noted above with emphasis on ground and aircraft refueling operations, inspections, environmental compliance, inventory management and equipment inspections.
  • Have intensive education, training, and experience in all aspects of fuel operations, stringent quality control and assurance procedures, expedient and cost-efficient fuel delivery methods.
  • US Military Fuel School Certificate/DD form 214 is preferred or proof of training/competency or certificate of completion from fuels apprenticeship program.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS

  • Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs., team lifting 50 lbs., climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending.
  • Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.
