Collaborate with dynamic, cross-functional and international teams
As a Government Relations Lead, your job duties include staying current on existing and proposed legislation in Iraq, building good relations with relevant government officials, and updating management on relevant laws and regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Coordinating & managing matters related to Government Relations
· Facilitating meetings with government officials and represent the organization in all regulatory matters.
· Being Well versed with the continually changing labor laws, government policies and procedure
· Working with business team and organize periodic renewal of licenses
· Being the subject matter expert & focal point for queries on visa, immigration, oil field pass, and social security clearance related matters
. Supervising activities managed by third parties including but not limited to visa, oil field passes, social security clearance formalities.
. Ensuring all visa, passes and labor permits are up to date and arrange timely renewal.
. Ensuring & supporting continuous process improvements

To be successful in this role you will:
· Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
· Have 3+ years of experience in a Government Relations role in Iraq
· Have solid experience and understanding of Iraqi Labor laws, tax laws and regulations
· Be very fluent in written & spoken English & Arabic
· Display excellent communications skills, with an ability to engage with senior global leaders with poise and confidence
· Show the ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment
· Demonstrate a focus on internal stakeholder care and responsiveness, with solid interpersonal awareness
· Be able to anticipate needs and make judgement calls within your area of expertise and responsibility
· Display a high value for integrity, kindness and show a sense of humor
· Be a proactive, motivated self-starter, maintaining discipline and focus in managing long term initiatives without close supervision
