Job Overview

On behalf of our client, GMAC is looking to hire a local candidate for the position of “Graphic Designer” who is experienced in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator to work with one of the leading International Hypermarkets.

Contract Duration: Yearly (3 Months Probation)    Deadline:                    28 Feb 2020
Salary Range:            Negotiable                                    Working Days:         5 days/week

Role Purpose:

The designer is responsible for Designing and creating engaging content for digital and print assets (including but not limited to; website, social, paid media, email, marketing affiliates, in-store, leaflets, internal communication).

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Produce creative and clean responsive designs for on-site, CRM, and Digital Marketing
  • Create conceptual designs and master Adobe templates, produce high-quality graphics and mockups in Adobe Creative Suite, Word, and Photoshop
  • Produce short videos for paid and organic ads using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing tool required to meet the expected video quality
  • Create graphics and newsletters for internal communication
  • Ensure all graphics are optimized and do not exceed the maximum allowed file size required for best results
  • Ensure creatives are consistent and a key part of a seamless on-brand customer journey across all marketing and advertising touchpoints
  • Identify and initiate improvements to the design and execution of graphics material
  • Share best practice on creative performance and continuously optimize upon that
  • Produce creative guidelines to be used among all designers as required
  • Assist the branding team with print materials and creative guidelines
  • Design presentations for senior leadership

Technical and Product (Web and App)

  • Develop responsive HTML based landing pages from scratch
  • Upload source images in Hybris production environment
  • Design and create wireframes and mockup landing pages to be approved by the countries
  • Create landing pages in Hybris CMS using existing content pages and components
  • Ensure landing pages created are responsive and all links are working properly
  • Create and update page content on the website including but not limited to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Brand Shops, Private Label, MyCLUB, store promotions leaflet viewer, Terms and Conditions for promotions as well as giveaways
  • Develop emails for countries including but not limited to UAE, KSA, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Pakistan using HTML/CSS to be tested and approved by the CRM Team
  • Produce screencast for CMS video tutorials to be used by the country
  • Provide technical support to country for CMS landing page issues


  • Liaise with in-house and local Content teams to build creative that delivers against their objectives and develop our digital offering in line with our wider business strategy
  • Work closely with an in-house Content team including developers, copywriters to lead the creation of cutting-edge and breakthrough creative ideas across all formats

  • Apply and follow the Company’s Retail’s Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions
  • Provide training and feedback to direct reports when required

  • Design and execution of creative CRM & Paid Media projects as briefed
  • Understanding digital marketing best practice to enable the evolution of assets and templates
  • Engaging in test and learn strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of digital creatives
  • Introducing new ways to present brand content in email
  • Always at the forefront of best practice paid media designs
  • Ensuring all projects are executed within the timeline
  • Build great relationships within and beyond the Marketing team
  • Champion the voice of the customer through our work and understand who designs are being created for
  • The quality output of design material in a timely manner

Required qualifications, competencies, and experience Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor of Arts in Creative Arts or Design or any relevant discipline
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in the related function
• Languages: Kurdish and Arabic are required, English is an Advantage.
• Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills
• Good time management skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Team player
