JOB SUMMARY

The Grounds Maintenance Technicians work under the supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Team Leads to maintain the grounds as a member of a professional work team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates push and riding lawnmowers, handheld and motorized equipment such as string trimmers, chain saws, brush chippers, stump grinders, tractors, etc.
• Performs custodial tasks in cleaning outdoor facilities restrooms and picnic shelters.
• Works in snow removal operations as assigned.
• Performs landscape maintenance such as weeding, pruning, mulching, and installing landscape plants, trees and applying fertilizers.
• Uses hand tools such as rakes, shovels, hoes, bush axes, and other ground maintenance tools.
• Assists in the maintenance of athletic fields, turf areas, landscaped beds, and other grounds areas.
• Loads and unloads material such as gravel, dirt, mulch, chemicals, tools, equipment, and other materials.
• Assists in work zone traffic control setup and direct traffic at construction sites as a certified flagger.
• Performs leaf and litter collection activities operating a variety of equipment.
• Completes necessary documentation such as work orders and logs.
• Uses blueprints, maps and manuals to perform work; interprets written and oral instructions.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with customers, peers, and others.
• Participates in training, and team activities such as problem solving and planning.
• Works various schedules as assigned.
• Follow all safety precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• One to two years of grounds maintenance experience is preferred.
• High school diploma is preferred.

• Must have basic knowledgeable in proper and safe use of all tools and equipment related to Grounds operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS

• Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs., team lifting 50 lbs., climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending.
• Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.

مؤهلات الوظيفة:
