Hard Services Supervisor – Nasiriya

Job Overview

The Hard Services Facilities Management Engineer takes charge of building and facility infrastructure and equipment planning, implementation, and maintenance. The role is responsible to analyze operational processes, resource allocation, energy consumption, and safety processes, and then recommend and implement improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for building systems, equipment, and machinery.
  • Coordinate and perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Monitor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain comfortable and healthy indoor environments.
  • Oversee HVAC maintenance, repairs, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency generators. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and coordinate repairs or upgrades as needed. Maintain plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, and wastewater disposal.
  • Address plumbing issues promptly to prevent disruptions and water damage.
  • Oversee fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems, ensuring compliance with safety codes. Manage security systems, access control, and surveillance equipment.
  • Monitor and control building automation systems, including energy management, lighting control, and environmental monitoring.
  • Plan and oversee the installation of new equipment, machinery, or systems.
  • Source and procure necessary supplies and materials for maintenance and repairs. Implement energy-efficient practices to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. Identify opportunities for sustainable initiatives and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, ensuring the safety of occupants and assets.
  • Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure readiness.
  • Stay updated on local, state, and national regulations related to building codes, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure all systems and equipment meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving measures.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs. Monitor work quality and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Generate reports on system performance, maintenance history, and compliance.
  • Diagnose technical issues and malfunctions, and develop solutions to restore systems to optimal operation. Handle emergencies and urgent situations effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in facilities management. Provide training to staff members on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve the overall functionality of facility
  • systems.

Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, controls, and energy management technologies. Ability to diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and develop effective solutions. Analytical thinking to identify root causes and make informed decisions.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and managing maintenance projects, repairs, and equipment installations. Ability to coordinate tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure that all systems and equipment adhere to relevant regulations.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience:

  • Minimum 5 year(s) working experience,
  • 3 year(s) relevant working experience,
  • 2 year (s) GCC is a plus

Education:
