Housekeeper/ Receptionist-Baghdad(National role)

Job Overview

Job Description:
Housekeeping:
• Perform cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all areas.
• Wash dirty dishes, pots, cutlery using appropriate detergent.
• Clean surfaces, including doors, window sills, blinds, tables, chairs, stove, microwave, cupboards,
wardrobes, and shelves.
• Weekly fridge cleaning
• Daily cleaning of toilets/bathrooms and restocking supplies (toilet paper, etc.).
• Change bed linens and pillowcases for the guesthouse weekly or daily when there are visitors.
• Wash clothes, towels, bed linens, and iron if required.
• Use insect repellent when needed.
• Clean windows (both inside and out) every two weeks.
• Report maintenance issues (e.g., malfunctioning air conditioning, lamps, fridges, ovens) to the Senior
Admin and Liaison Coordinator.
• Communicate material cleaning needs to the Senior Admin and Liaison Coordinator (SALC).
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean, safe environment.

Reception:
• Greet and welcome guests and clients in a courteous manner.
• Keep a record of visitors, including their time of arrival and departure.
• Answer phone calls and manage inquiries in a timely and professional way.
• Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for the office under the supervision of the Senior Admin
and Liaison Coordinator.
• Monitor the security CCTV system and immediately report to SALC any suspicious situation and any
technical issue with the system operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team.

General Responsibilities:
• Work within the framework of MAG’s core values.
• All MAG staff are expected to maintain a professional conduct in line with MAG’s core values since their
actions represent MAG.
• Participate in meetings when relevant.
• Understand and uphold the standards outlined in MAG’s Safeguarding Framework, acting with due care
and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with MAG’s work and reporting
concerns if they do arise.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required.

Person Specification:
• Previous experience in housekeeping or reception duties
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak local language, and read and write English
• Basic administrative skills, including scheduling, data entry, and filing.
