PURPOSE OF DIVISION:

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has been working in Iraq for more than 20 years. IRW-Iraq was amongst the few aid agencies those were on the ground since 2003. Islamic Relief Worldwide Iraq is implementing several projects in the sector of livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Protection.

Purpose of Job:

The main purpose of this role will be to support HR department for Scanning personal files, collecting timesheets, updating the leave tracker, checking personal files using the tracker to identify the missing documents. S/He will also assist with day-to-day HR functions.

The HR Intern is expected to perform following key tasks.

  • Ensure high confidentiality in maintained in the work performed.
  • Maintain Personnel files; confidential information and documents.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Ensures that all HR files are updated and maintained regularly, including personal History form, resumes, certificates, copy of ID, leave requests etc.
  • Ensure that all timesheets filled and signed properly. Collect timesheets for payroll on monthly basis.
  • Update the leave tracker and ensure that leave requests are submitted in the HRIS system.
  • Supporting HR Coordinator with arranging the written test and interview by calling the selected candidates.
  • Ensure that staff contact list is updated on a weekly basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.
  • Duration period for this contract is 2 months starting from 1st November – 31st December 2024 with possibility to extend subject to funds

 

Qualification:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document management and reporting. Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, and adjust to the evolving needs of the HR department.
  • Fluent in Kurdish and English, with highly desirable skills in Arabic.
  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
