Position: HSE Manager

Job Grade: Managerial

Reporting To: CEO

Duty Station: Erbil branch office

Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Design and draft company Health and Safety comprehensive policy and procedures.
  • Establish Health and Safety management system.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain company and its dealer’s facility and operation health and safety management
  • Conducting training programs, and procedures in line with all current legislation
  • Perform monthly safety inspections and maintenance and report to line manager.
  • Represent the company at external and internal audits related to health and safety matters.
  • ensure compliance to Civil Defense audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complaints in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Responsible for the coordination of monthly risk assessment with the senior management.
  • Develop long term strategies to reduce accidents that are data driven
  • Investigate accidents to include gathering all documentation in line with company policies, compiling all documentation relating to any insurance claims made against the company, and liaising with insurance companies, solicitors, and other related organizations in pursuit of insurance claims.
  • Work with the operational teams to improve the working environment and reduce the impacts to the employee from operational activities as well as recommend process and
  • Manage and support all documentation related to material handling equipment.
  • Regular visit to the company facility and its network around the country and submit assessment report.
  • Preparing proper health and Safety check list per each facility and type of operation and activity.
  • Inspect facilities to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Ensure the application of required PPE and first-aid kit at all facilities as per type of operation or purpose of use.
  • Train for safely driving behavior and take required action to reduce car accident.
  • Create an annual plan to implement SDG activities related to Health, Safety and Environment.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Health & Safety management with outstanding leadership abilities
  • Preferable Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety
  • Certified in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA affiliated programs; as well as IRCA (OHS, Lead Auditor training)
  • Fluency in English, and Arabic or Kurdish
  • Iraqi nationality
