Position Summary:
- Safe and efficient execution of Instrument Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance activities on the Atrush Site.
- Provide support to plant commissioning teams.
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Remote site and camp-based position requiring the candidate to work 2 weeks on by 2 weeks off rotation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Instrument Maintenance work packs including job method statements and Risk Assessments.
- Execution of Instrument Preventive Maintenance Routines including routine instrument checks.
- Work alongside ICSS engineers for troubleshooting of instruments and control/safety systems.
- Execution of Instrument Corrective Maintenance tasks including calibration and testing of process instrumentation and fire & gas detection systems; diagnosing and rectifying faults to maximise equipment availability; identifying required spares and initiating orders for replacements. Monitoring and controlling works by vendors/contractors within his/her remit.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven and recognized qualification of academic study – Technical Diploma/Degree in Instrument/Electronics Engineering
Experience/Knowledge/Training
Essential:
- Minimum five years experience as an Instrument Maintenance Technician on an oil production facility
- Experience using Safe Systems of Work – PTW, Risk Assessment, Isolations.
- A functional understanding and demonstrable experience of instrument maintenance activities on an Oil and Gas Production Facility.
- Ability to read and interpret documentation such as P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, cause and effect matrix.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Fluent in Kurdish (reading and writing).
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
Preferred:
- Hydrogen Sulphide hazard awareness.
- Planning tasks.
- Supervision of contractors.
- Knowledge of using a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
- Basic understanding of PLC/SCADA/PCS/FGS/SIS/DCS systems.
- Control valve maintenance and overhaul.
- Fiscal metering systems.
- Guided wave radar level transmitters.
- Analysers and sampling systems.
- Hydraulic wellhead control panels.
- Small bore tubing installation.
