Dr. Atyaf Centers for IVF and infertility is a chain of medical centers, general hospitals, and specialized hospitals under the Dr. Atyaf brand name located in different cities in Iraq, which includes (Erbil – Baghdad – Basra – Anbar – Sulaymaniyah – Kut). The Very first private IVF center and the very first private and successful IVF operation in Iraq is the Erbil branch which then allowed the founder an immense reputation which then made her think about and eventually branch out to different cities in order to fulfill the vision. Which is to serve the people of Iraq successfully and as it has done so since 2007 and it will continue serving the people of Iraq and possibly abroad for as long as possible not just as an IVF center or chain of IVF centers but as a medical institution mostly specialized in gynecology with a possible future in other branches of the medical sector.

Job Summary:

The IT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the medical centers’ information technology systems, infrastructure, and networks. The role will ensure the smooth functioning of IT operations and provide technical support to staff members, in addition to implementing and improving IT security measures and ensuring data confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the medical center’s computer systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff members regarding computer systems, software applications, and other IT-related issues.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
  • Manage the organization’s IT security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software applications, and hardware upgrades to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT systems, security, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer or Information Technology, Master Degree is a privilege;
  • Minimum three years of experience in managing IT systems and infrastructure, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English languages, Kurdish Language is an advantage;
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with IT security measures and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve IT-related issues.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Working Condition & Benefits:

Working Days & Hours: 6 Days per week & 8 Hours per day;

Salary: Negotiable, based on Applicants’ knowledge and experience;

Annual leave: 21 Days;

Allowances: Transportation, Food & Hazard.
