IT Service Desk Technician

Overview:

Join our team as an IT Service Desk Technician, where you’ll resolve communication and technical issues and support users. From troubleshooting radio systems to IT infrastructure, you’ll provide hands-on support. This role combines technical expertise with customer service in a fast-paced, impactful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to radio-based communication systems.
  • Support users with their daily computer, network, and software needs across the site.
  • Offer personalized support, assisting with troubleshooting, ticket submission, and resolving technical issues directly with users.
  • Provide over-the-phone support, guiding users through the troubleshooting process and ensuring issues are handled efficiently.
  • Manage trouble tickets using Remedy software, ensuring smooth call routing for unresolved cases.
  • Install and repair critical radio system components (antennas, amplifiers, radio handsets, control systems).
  • Keep detailed records of all service desk activities for accurate reporting.
  • Perform Windows account management, including password resets, group changes, and account expirations.
  • Complete tasks and assignments as delegated by supervisors and management.

 

What You Need to Bring to the Team:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or diploma degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Valid Iraqi driver’s license and national card required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years working with IT service desks, radio systems, and network support.
  • The candidates should have any of these or equivalent certifications: Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, MCSA (Windows 10), Microsoft 365, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • Familiarity with radio communication protocols, frequencies, and radio system installation.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in troubleshooting issues within Windows environments and related applications.
  • Strong ability to diagnose hardware and network issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional support to all users.
  • Ability to identify recurring issues and develop permanent solutions.

Additional Information:

This role may expose employees to extreme weather conditions while working outdoors.
